RCNO uses a community-centered approach engaging local residents and stakeholders in community organizing and public policy formation.

We invite congregations, community-based agencies, student interns and other community members to join us in our work.

Your participation is crucial to the success of our efforts. Organizers and other volunteers are needed in the field and in our offices.

The following are ways that you can help:

  • Serve on a task force or committee
  • Participate in public actions
  • Provide clerical and other administrative support for projects
  • Provide writing and research for policy briefs, magazine articles, etc.
  • Serve as a student intern in the areas of public policy or communications
  • Attend a national training and build your skills as an organizer
  • Involve your church or agency in our trainings and meetings
  • Register to become an RCNO affiliate agency

For more information, please contact Keesha Johnson, director of administration and special projects, at (323) 234-8154 or info@rcno.org.

"We need to understand how policies affect us as a community and how we can help to ensure our survival and moving forward. We need our leadership to be qualified and empowered to speak on our behalf."
